RAF Ex-POW Association Activities

An AGM and Dinner are held annually.

Newsletters were published twice a year, now on special occasions.

One is for the emergency support of members and widows.  The other, a memorial fund to Larry Slattery who was a superb violin player and founder member of the Association shot down on the first day of WWII, assists gifted young musicians.

We annually award the Kriegie Trophy to the most outstanding Air Training Corps cadet, to encourage enthusiasm.

Periodically we contact members with requests for information received relating to RAF POWs: since May 2002 these have also been published on the Aircrew and Groundcrew Research website.
